It's said that "many hands make light work" and nowhere is that more true than at our Pantry. On Sunday, April 26th, we took time to recognize and appreciate our many volunteers with a barbecue dinner at Redwine Methodist Church. It was amazing to see how many people give of their time and expertise to keep the Pantry running day after day throughout the year. Our volunteers don't just come from our sponsoring churches either. We have companies who provide funds, services and workers including WaterSports Central whose volunteers spent their annual company-wide volunteer day with SHCFP. Johnson High School's Health Occupations Society partnered with SHCFP in projects for their Feed the Hungry Emphasis. Performance Food Group (PFG) helped provide Christmas Toys for Kids. And Community Partners like Cresswind and the South Hall Library provided funding, food collection and other help that we couldn't do without.
Below are a few pictures of our various volunteers and friends hard at work. We are so very grateful!
